Aims

1. To raise awareness that the tests currently used to diagnose urinary tract infection are insensitive and miss over 50% of urinary tract infections.

2. To ensure the diagnosis of chronic urinary tract infection is formally recognised by the NHS.

3. To campaign for better testing and treatment for chronic urinary tract infections.

4. To support and promote the work of centres in the UK and internationally which treat chronic urinary tract infections.

5. To support and promote scientific research into chronic urinary tract infections.

It has been proven that the tests currently used to diagnose UTI miss over 50% of infections.Doctors are unaware of the failings of these tests and rely on them heavily to diagnose UTIs. This results in infections being misdiagnosed and missed entirely. Untreated infections have a devastating impact on the sufferer.

Millions of people both male and female have to live with debilitating symptoms for the rest of their lives. This is due to the fact that the tests are failing both doctors and their patients.

Join our campaign and together we can raise awareness of this important issue and help hundreds of thousands of people get appropriate treatment for their urinary tract infections.
